The 2024 Retool Your School Campus Improvement Grant Program is officially underway! It’s time for all SSU students, alumni, faculty, staff – the whole community – to go vote! The top three schools with the most votes in each cluster can win up to $150K in Campus Improvement Grants.

• Visit the Home Depot RYS website to cast your vote daily. The only votes that will count toward your HBCU’s official vote total will be those made at https://retoolyourschool.com/vote.
• Anyone can vote.
• Vote as many times as you want!
• Check the leader board every day at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to see where your school stands.

Classmate Cmdr. Donnie L. Cochran Inducted into Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame!
Several classmates attended the enshrinement banquet for classmate Donnie Cochran as he was honored by the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. The event was held on April 30, 2022 at Epps Aviation in Atlanta.

The outstanding achievements of retired Commander Donnie L. Cochran, Class of 1976, were recognized by the University System of Georgia on Feb. 8 during a black-tie gala at the St. Regis Atlanta.
According to the USG website, the purpose of the award is to "recognize distinguished alumni and friends for outstanding achievements in their professional lives, personal integrity and stature, and dedicated service to a University System of Georgia institution."
